Currently we are working on Bringing Talking Taiwan to the Taiwanese American Conference- East Coast (TAC-EC 2024)
TALKING TAIWAN IS LOOKING FOR $3,000 IN SPONSORSHIP TO BRING TALKING TAIWAN TO TAC-EC 2024.
This year's impressive list of conference speakers and topics include: Taiwan's former Vice President Chen Chien-jen (陳建仁), Freddy Lim (林昶佐), and 藍士博 who will be speaking about 228 and transitional justice.
What will we be doing at TAC-EC

Similar to NPR's Story Corps concept, Talking Taiwan will set up a podcast studio at TAC-EC
- Talking Taiwan will interview past TAC-EC organizers about their memories and experiences of organizing past conferences. These interviews will be recorded and edited into an episode of Talking Taiwan about the history and legacy of TAC-EC
- Talking Taiwan will interview several TAC-EC speakers on-site and produce the recordings into episodes of Talking Taiwan.
- Talking Taiwan will create a 5 minute video montage to capture the moments throughout TAC-EC 2024 that will be shown at the closing ceremony of the conference.

About the Taiwanese American Conference- East Coast (TAC-EC):
TAC-EC is a conference with over 50 years of history formed by the first wave of Taiwanese immigrants arriving in America in the 70’s and 80’s. The conference brings together Taiwanese Americans from New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Delaware, Maryland, and Philadelphia. Today the conference draws about 600 - 800 participants annually, which includes first generation Taiwanese Americans, and many second generation Taiwanese Americans who bring their children to participate in the TANG (Taiwanese American Next Generation) program.
